Ontoplano and Notion

Notion is a very good database with a very good editor on it. You build what you need out of pages, tables and relations — which is its strength and the reason so many people end up maintaining a planner instead of using one.

Ontoplano is the other trade. It already knows what a week is, what a habit is, what a goal measured in kilometres is, and what happens when you tick a block on a Tuesday. You do not assemble it, and you cannot bend it into a CRM.

So the honest comparison: if what you want is a workspace you shape, Notion is better at that and this will feel narrow. If you have shaped one twice and stopped using both, the narrowness is the point.

It runs on your own machine A container on a box you control, or a Raspberry Pi. Nothing has to leave the house.

Your data is a file, not an export SQLite. Not a zip of markdown approximating what the page looked like.

It works offline and on a phone An Android build, and an instance that can run on the device itself with no server at all.

Try the demo — it makes you an account of your own, with a week already in it. Or run it yourself, or [read what else it does](/).
